A few years ago. I graduated from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) with a degree in Decorative Arts (BA Hons), where I specialised in ceramics for three years. Since then, I have been pursuing a career in the when I left university, my first job was for deVOL, a bespoke kitchen design company based in Loughborough. Here, I worked as a ceramicist, making and developing lighting and tiling lines. I learned a lot from my time there and still use that knowledge to this day. I now work at Clay Studio Nottingham as Studio Assistant and Class Tutor. I thoroughly enjoy experimenting with clay and teaching others the tips and tricks I’ve honed along the way. I spend my free time developing my own version of the Japanese pottery technique, Nerikomi and I am currently developing a new collection of works. I find the process therapeutic and satisfying.
