These pots come in horizontal or vertical forms. They are partially glazed using the Raku process and the rest of the planter is smoked, black, unglazed clay which provides a hospitable container for plant roots. Raku ware is not considered safe for food use, but the colours and textures obtained through this process look wonderful combined with succulents. 

Each plant included is chosen to complement the planter and form a fascinating living sculpture which develops over time. Best thought of as a long-lasting temporary arrangement, the succulents will eventually out-grow the planter and require repotting or propagating to create fresh new plants. Many of them will flower under favourable conditions. 

Larger planters are available from Clay Studio as your collection grows. To ensure this product arrives safely by post, the succulent plants will be wrapped separately from the planter with special succulent compost and grit and full instructions on how to create your own special arrangement.
